Woven apparel manufacturing for buyers in the United Kingdom
Woven apparel and fabrics for UK brands, labelled and documented for UK import.
UK brands buying woven shirts, bottoms, sleepwear and fabric deal with a separate customs and labelling regime from the EU. Here is what we plan for on UK orders.
Sizing and specifications
UK womenswear sizes (8, 10, 12…) and menswear chest and waist sizes are graded from your block. Measurements are usually given in centimetres; we use your points of measure and tolerances in every sample report.
Labelling
Textiles sold in the UK must show fibre composition under the Textile Products (Labelling and Fibre Names) Regulations 2012. Care labelling is not legally required but buyers expect it, usually with the standard care symbols. We produce labels to your artwork and check content and placement at final inspection.
Children’s nightwear
Children’s nightwear sold in the UK must meet the flammability and labelling requirements of the Nightwear (Safety) Regulations. If your range includes children’s pajamas, include the requirement in your tech pack so fabric and finish are chosen to comply.
Shipping and documents
Your importer needs a UK EORI number. Shipments are documented with a commercial invoice, packing list and transport document, plus any origin documentation your customs agent asks for.
