Quality control

Quality checked at every stage, not only at the end

A final inspection can only accept or reject what has already been made. Our checks start with the materials and continue through cutting and sewing, so faults are corrected where they happen.

Inspection stages

Eight checkpoints from fabric to carton

  1. Incoming material inspection

Fabric, thread, buttons, zips, labels and packaging are checked against the approved trim card before use.

  2. Fabric inspection

Rolls are checked for weaving and finishing faults, width, shade variation and shrinkage before cutting.

  3. Cutting inspection

Lays and cut panels are checked against the pattern for size, grain line, shade grouping and notches.

  4. In-line inspection

Operations are checked during sewing so faults are corrected at the station instead of after the garment is finished.

  5. Measurement inspection

Finished garments are measured against the graded specification and its tolerances.

  6. Stitching and workmanship

Seam strength, stitch density, puckering, loose threads, buttonholes and trims are inspected.

  7. Final inspection

Packed goods are inspected before dispatch for workmanship, measurements, labelling and appearance.

  8. Packing inspection

Folding, polybags, barcodes, carton marks, assortment and carton counts are verified against the packing list.
