Canvas Fabric
Woven at our own mill on computerized Japanese jet looms.
Overview
Heavy plain-weave and duck canvas for bags, tents, covers and workwear.
Canvas is one of our core qualities. It is woven at our own mill on computerized Japanese jet looms, both for fabric buyers and for the bags, covers and garments we make.
What canvas is
Canvas is a tightly woven plain-weave fabric made from heavier yarns, giving high strength and abrasion resistance. It is specified by composition, yarn count, construction (ends and picks per inch), weight and finish. Duck canvas pairs warp yarns for a denser, smoother surface.
Who it is for
Bag and accessory brands, tent and cover manufacturers, and apparel brands making workwear and utility garments. We supply canvas as fabric or make it into finished products.
How to order
Send the end use, target weight and width, composition, colour and any performance finish with its test standard. We weave a sample length or submit a swatch from a running quality for approval before bulk.

What is the difference between canvas and duck?
Both are tightly woven plain weaves. Duck canvas typically uses two warp yarns woven as one, giving a smoother, denser surface; plain canvas uses single yarns. Weight and yarn count matter more to performance than the name.
Can canvas be made water-repellent?
Yes, with a water-repellent or coated finish applied after weaving. Tell us the performance you need, such as spray rating or hydrostatic head, and the test method, and we propose the finish.
